NATO Tankers Set Ablaze in Pakistan

Nato lorries set ablaze in Pakistan

Attack on tankers carrying supplies to troops in Afghanistan follows deaths of Pakistani soldiers in

Tankers carrying supplies for Nato troops in Afghanistan have been set on fire by unidentified assailants in the Pakistani town of Shikarpur in Sindh province, officials say.

The incident on Friday came a day after Pakistani authorities blocked a supply route for Nato troops, angered by the killing of three Pakistani soldiers in airstrikes by Nato helicopters.

"The attackers fired with small arms on tankers and fled away. No one was hurt," an official of the paramilitary Rangers force told the Reuters news agency.

The official, who declined to be named, said about 10 assailants attacked up to 25 to 30 tankers early in the morning.

1. But but but they love us over there!
Maybe firing a record number of missiles into Pakistan as the country suffered under flood waters that would cover most of our eastern seaboard wasn't such a smart idea?

2. Why do you think that NATO is suddenly there after all this time?
Could the plots in Europe have anything to do with this?

3. "Suddenly"? Suddenly? No, they've been hip deep in Afghanistan for years.
Gee, could THAT have something to do with plots in Europe? NATO member contributions to ISAF have been primarily responsible for holding southern Afghan provinces for 4 years, as long as European powers fought each other in WWI. And you didn't know.

When I see ignorance like this, even here, it's no wonder that we're still bogged down in a losing war.
