Dems should "own" patriotism. |

We can't keep letting the GOP run around in their tricorn hats with the flag draped around their shoulders. They have run away with some of America's best "political trademarks," and we just seem to let them. Can we then really blame the dumber voters if they think that voting for a jingoistic GOP goon is voting for America?
Dems should be saying "We are the party of patriots." We are.

We are at war. Wars cost money. We need taxes that pay for our wars. The unpatriotic rich don't fight. So the very least a good citizen can do is contribute money.

3. Republicans demonstrated they don't care at all about the fate of the country... |
|
they said no to every chance to help the unemployed, they voted against combat bonuses for veterans, against health insurance reform, against the jobs bill and the small businesss bill. They loved Bush II's wars, but didn't want to pay for them and now blame the debt they caused on the Democrats.
Democrats supported all the positive change that has taken place since 2008 - republcans have supported none, and lied about it all.
Who is patriotic and who is not?
