Did/Will Bill Maher Make or Break Christine O'Donnell? |
|
While I'm very glad he's releasing these videos of her every week, showing how ridiculous she is, I can't help but wonder if she would have gotten as far as she has without Maher (and others) giving her airtime in the first place.
What do you think?

They go together like horse and carriage. |

His show was called "Politically Incorrect," and she was an anti-masturbation activist. How could he not have her on. That's like banning the fat lady from the side show.
Nothing wrong here. She will lose, and she knocked out a Republican. Score for Mahar.

2. I don't think he's damaging her at all with her base. |
|
But it might confirm an independent's suspicion that she's a flake.

3. He seems to think so by giving her the air time, but |
|
somehow I feel Christine would have found another way. It's in her DNA.

4. Of course that's where she got her start |
|
and it seems the RNC doesn't mind if she was only there for comic relief, which she was. She's sweet and stupid and believes all the hogwash she's spewing and if elected, will be only too happy to accept the "help" the corporate donors and RNC will give her to build her Washington staff--the people who will actually do her work for her.
We have only to hope enough people in Delaware are sufficiently awake to realize she's only there for comic relief and that she hasn't gotten any wiser, just older.

5. I think you give him far too much credit. She's subject matter he can |
|
joke about. If not her, it would be someone else...

6. The aholes who are going to vote for her don't care what she did/does |
|
they will vote regardless. But these stupid things she is doing herself make her laughable and sane people aren't going to vote for her and that includes a lot of republicans Just remember. The true tea bag line is not the true republican line. Those people can't stand the tea bags either. Would you want to vote for some one who said their chose their religion because they like Italian food and especially meatballs. i don't think so.

7. That's exactly why I think these tapes might be harmful for her base |
|
her base.
Not all the videos, but I would think the ultra-Christians would be offended by her dabbling in other religions and the meatball comment. I think you're right that many of them will vote for her anyway, probably out of ignorance of the issues or out of refusal to vote for a Democrat.
Thanks for your comments.

8. Conservatroids don't give a good goddam what she said on that asshole's show years ago |
|
They also don't give an aerial intercourse what looney-tooney shit she believes or spouts nowadays. They're concerned only with her agenda, as long as it includes giving a free rein to corporations, unbridled welfare for the rich, and suppression of the poor & minority interests.
