Dont forget to include feedback. I can understand that those not voting dem or sitting out are probably afraid to say so but i would love to hear your comments.

1. Straight party. And I am probably going to give more $$$ than I have ever given.

The whole thought of a handful of billionaires buying this election just burns me up.

7. Given that the Greens didn't qualify for the ballot and the Repub is a Tea Party nut, I think
I should vote Dem for Governor, and if the Dem Rep is in any trouble at all I will toss a vote to him as well.

15. afscme -judy barr topinka
she has a higher rating than the democrat. i`m getting her sign to put in my yard to confuse the neighbors. i`m the only democrat with signage in a good sq mile of my town.

20. Here's a partial list of unions who have endorsed Miller
Amalgated Transit Union Local 241
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)
Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI)
Illinois Association of Fire Fighters – Local 3766
Illinois Association of Fire Fighters (Statewide)
Illinois Education Association (IEA)
Illinois Federation of Teachers (IFT)
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) – Local 134
Laborers International Union of North America – Great Plains Laborers District Council
Operating Engineers Local 150
Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
Teamsters Local 743
United Food and Commerical Workers (UFCW) 881

Since I am not a union member, may I ask: do you always vote the way your union tells you to? I would have a lot of trouble with that.

16. Which Republican and which union?
The only time I'm straying from the Democratic ticket is for Assessor. And this is the first time I've ever, since 1972, not voted for a Democrat. But Berrios is just too machine-corrupted for my tastes. Democrat Forrest Claypool is running as an independent, and I am going to vote for him. So it's like voting for a Democrat.

I just downloaded my sample ballot today, and boy is there a lot of work to do on judges. I usually get two or three bar association ratings (including women's bar assn, gay and lesbian, hispanic, etc.) and go by that.

24. Sorry, she creeps me out
I voted for Miller's opponent, Raja Krishnamoorthi, in the primary ... but I would never vote for Topinka in this capacity. She's got some palm-greasing issues in her background as State Treasurer.

Seriously, any sentient Dem who examines the options and analyzes the alternatives, and STILL wants to take their ball and go home, deserves whatever they get.

31. Dem in my case
But I'm lucky to have progressive candidates on my ballot. I wouldn't blame someone in a less progressive area for refusing to vote for a Blue Dog or DINO with the hopes of getting a progressive to vote for in 2012.
