This Country is Awash in Political Theater |
|
Do not believe the doomsayers, the media, the pundits, the salivating Republicans who are caught up in their own spin.
We will not lose the House. We will not lose the Senate.
Drama sells soap. That's all there is to it. And all the drama queens are busy trying to get attention.
Give it to them by voting Democrat.

3. So your point was to post a political thread complaining about how the landscape is political |
|

4. No, the point was that |
|
what you're hearing and seeing is all bullshit and the hysterics around here are just that. Nothing but hysterics.
People everywhere -- including here -- are amping up the rhetoric to a fever pitch, when the truth is, we all just need to fucking relax, go out and vote and everything will be just fine.
I swear to Christ this country is full of infants afraid they won't live long enough to see puberty.
The world -- and this country -- aren't coming to an end. Have a little faith.

6. You can laugh all you want |
|
but your childish derision adds nothing to the debate, and if you don't vote for the Democrats you seem to despise, you won't be laughing for very long.
Are things perfect now? No.
Will they be even less perfect if we bitch and moan but don't bother to vote?
That's a definite yes.
Whether you want to admit it or not, the country is moving in a better direction under the Democrats. Criticism is one thing. Stupidity is another thing altogether.

7. Everyone is entitled to their opinion... |
|
And while you may believe so, I would vehemently disagree. I don't see ANY change that is significant.
I have to use the airport system today. Guess what: It hasn't changed ONE IOTA since Bush left office. The TSA fascists are still there.
- The so-called 'wars' on 'terror' and 'drugs', both quixotic and unwinnable, continue unabated. - Our civil liberties are still in the toilet, and in fact are continuing to sink down the drain. - The unPATRIOTic Act, the MCA, and the other Bush-era legislation is still very much in effect. - GITMO still exists, as do the other Black Box sites around the globe. - We are still executing a hostile occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, and in fact have moved on to Pakistan and Yemen. - The F.I.R.E. vertical has been thoroughly bailed-out and stimulated and unduly rewarded for causing a meltdown, but Main St. is still in the toilet.
Oh yeah, that's some change, all right. :eyes:
