7. I went to Kohl's last Sunday to buy my kid sneakers.
The Christmas trees were already out. I rolled my eyes and said "Oh Lord" to myself before heading off in search of the shoe department. :eyes:

The Christmas stuff is still somewhere between Shanghai and your local merchant.

5. No, it is almost always this early, now. I used to set the stuff up ...
Christmas inventory arrives in September, and trees and lights and decorations are all set up by October.

because so much of annual retail sales happen in the Christmas season.

10. Wrap It Up
There's a war on Christmas, that environmentally horrific consumer orgy which infects the following generations with materialism and shallowness, while reinforcing superstition and hypocrisy?

Where's the recruiting office?

I refuse to patronize Dick's until they stop the war on Christmas. And Dildoes.

Maybe since they are called "Dick's"
they thought that you might confuse them with Cheney and he's the most anti-everything there is in this country. By the way where is Dick....

21. Dick's actually does a great job of merchandising
(My subject line made me chuckle)

but seriously the stores are extremely well laid out, by far the best in the Sporting Goods market. Sad to see they are being criticized for not linking selling sporting goods to Jesus Christ. Although I have heard rumors that JC was one hell of a fisherman.

25. I've noticed the unpatriot fugs at OneMillionDads aren't pushing the 4th of July yet
The 4th of July is an important American holiday, and it's coming up soon. Why doesn't OneMillionDads want us to remember that? Why do they hate America?

30. Are the owners Jewish, perchance? If not, are they being sensitive to their Jewish shoppers?
Are Jewish run businesses required to celebrate Christmas? Isn't religion a personal choice? Or has someone forgotten that not everyone is Christian?

33. Wingnuts think it oughta be a law
They're not real big on religious tolerance, for all the lip service they give to the Constitution.

The campaign against the fictional 'war on Christmas' is nothing compared to what the Christian Dominionists/Reconstructionists really want.
