Police: 34 Visits To Home Before Killing Spree
Police: 34 Visits To Home Before Killing Spree

MIAMI -- Police came to the home of a South Florida family 34 times in the nearly four years before the husband fatally shot his wife and four stepchildren before turning the gun on himself.

Patrick Dell and his wife, Natasha Whyte-Dell, were going through a bitter divorce that ended in a jealous rampage Monday. Dell also wounded a 15-year-old stepchild in the attack.

The Palm Beach Post reported police had been to the house dozens of times before the killing spree, but never arrested anyone.

Riviera Beach Police spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown said nothing in the reports indicated an arrest should have been made.

1. He was violent before he left Jamaica
Her first husband is devastated - the scumbag killed three of his kids and the oldest boy was lucky to survive.

5. Where I live....
they get arrested...each time there is a call of formal domestic violence, especially if there is a pattern. Problem lies there....with the law and/or law enforcement...."Protect and Serve" is the motto; right?

6. There's no money in domestic violence cases

We were discussing this the other night with friends.

Law enforcement abd the courts don't care how poor you are on a drug charge. They'll confiscate your property, levy huge fines and court fees - and even forced Tennesseans convicted on drug charges to pay exhorbitant taxes for a while.

Why not do the same for rapists and domestic abusers? Take their stuff. make it painful.

After all, drug use hurts the user. Rape and abuse hurt society.

7. drug use hurts society.
I'm not talking pot...that's not a drug imho.

I'm talking hard core drugs and prescription drug abuse. Many times people turn to robbery of an individual's home, or a business. A couple of days ago, we had one who robbed rite aid using a machete.

8. Robbery and armed robbery hurt society

As does abuse.

Yes, these crimes can be fueled by addiction.

But people not on drugs also commit these acts. Most people whose property is confiscated are small time dealers, and most of those incarcerated and fined are small time users.

We need to fine violent crime, whatever the mental state of the perpetrator, and confiscate their stuff. Money talks, bullshit walks, as they say.
