A few days ago, Sarah Palin attacked me, and promoted my Republican opponent to her Twitter followers. (And by the way, what do people call Sarah Palin's Twitter followers? "Twits"?)
Well, at the same time, Glenn Beck also attacked. But in Beck's case, he needs 140 characters just to reach a verb. So Beck's bloviating, his stream-of-unconsciousness harangue, went on for more than four minutes.

What were Beck's key points? First, that I'm a "despicable human being." But then, Beck probably feels the same way about Gandhi, Martin Luther King and, of course (if you've seen Beck's show), that arch-villain, Woodrow Wilson.
Second, Beck says that Senator Al Franken has been "less embarrassing" than I've been. It's not clear exactly what Franken has done that Beck finds so embarrassing. Is it Franken's support for universal health care? Franken's staunch defense of net neutrality? Franken's work to cut taxpayer subsidies for oil companies? Or Franken's efforts to protect women who work for government contractors from sexual assault?
Let's show Glenn Beck that every time he opens his mouth, that's another $20, or $40, or $50 for whomever it is that he attacks.
And finally, Beck got to his real point: urging his audience to support my Republican opponent any way that they can. Beck said that he may "drive down to Central Florida, pick people up and take them to the polls."
Beck has bragged about his drug addiction and alcoholism (which, Beck says, was treated by "Dr. Jack Daniels," when Beck "got high" every day for fifteen years). If he's going to be driving anywhere around here, I hope he'll give us fair warning.
So, are we going to let Glenn Beck hand-pick the next Congressman from Central Florida? Or not?
