LOL....Smartass Freeper Thinks Madrid Is In Cuba
Brilliant comment in one of the Michael Moore bashing threads...

"Yup,we have a lot to learn about health care from Cuba. When you get sick haul your a$$ over to Madrid.
If you can get an exit visa, that is."

MADRID, Spain (AP) — Spanish authorities confirmed Monday that a leading surgeon who treats ailing Cuban
leader Fidel Castro has flown to Havana last week to study whether he should undergo more surgery.

Dr. Jose Luis Garcia Sabrido, chief surgeon at Madrid's Gregorio Maranon hospital, traveled to Cuba's
capital Thursday, Madrid region health official Manuel Lamela told reporters.

4. Uh... no.
He's not saying Madrid is in Cuba. He's making a reference to Castro's visit to Madrid a couple of years ago to be treated himself, with a snide comment about the possibility that other Cubans wouldn't be allowed to obtain exit visas to do the same.

8. Uh... no.
Defending the freeper by posting a lie that Castro went to Madrid for medical care is rather pathetic, don't you agree?

13. Excuse me?
If I'm in factual error, by all means please correct me, but don't you dare call me a liar or say I'm "defending the freeper."

A few years ago, I recall that Castro was warmly welcomed in Spain, Madrid I believe, and was seen there for some kind of medical evaluation or treatment. This was quite some time before his most recent illness.

A quick Google search brings up his current medical problems and refers to the doctor from Madrid visiting Cuba, not visa versa, but the instance I'm thinking of happened quite some time before that.

I will grant that I sometimes get details mixed up, but I'm pretty sure I remember this general event correctly. Maybe someone with more specific background knowledge can fill in the gaps.

In the meantime, I'll remember your eagerness to accuse.
