I will stake my series claim at the far right of the debate, as such I have done no research on the facts:

1. The fire chief and firefighters involved should be given medals of valor.
2. I am glad the pets died, they serve as an example for the evil tax-dodger.
3. The owner should be arrested for negligence and cruelty to animals.
4. If he wants fire protection going forward he should have to pay any back fees plus the year in advance at a 10% markup.
5. Any neighbors seen assisting him should be charged with aiding and abetting a tax-dodger.
