6. I'm sure I won't do it justice

in a few short lines but basically what the author is doing is juxtaposing some of our ne'er do well criminal cabal for characters in the movie "V for Vendetta" and asking the question what if the gov was actually responsible for all the death and destruction of 9-11, would you really want to know. This is my take on the vid. There may be other interperatations of course.

12. V is set in England, after the US collapses in a civil war.

a strong man, who has a lot in common with Darth Cheney, uses religion, a strong army presence, and fear to control the population.

V is a survivor of an experiment that resulted in tens of thousands of deaths (blamed on terrorists, but the real culprit is ********)
A year earlier, he blows up one building on November 5, he breaks his way into a TV station, transmits a message to the entire country, then promises to blow up parliament just like Guy Fawkes tried many years before.

a great movie for today. the similarities are spine chilling.

8. I just rewatched V for Vendetta for the umpteenth time last night

using my front projector, showing it on the big screen using surround sound. Perhaps my favorite movie and the ending always gets me.

In the movie and in real life, the authorities use religion to enhance fear and coerce obediance.

Granted, that has been religion's role throughout history, the movie and our current administration are just the latest examples of how that can be exploited for political gain.
