WJ: Brian Debose - Washington Slimes..."John Edwards Campaign Is Dead" |
|
According to this stenographer, all he could find about Edward's campaign were stories about his hair.
Leave it to C-SPAN to be the only network that gives legitamcy to this bird cage liner.

3. C-SPAN Has Been Spinning Hard Lately |
|
This is the second Slimes reporter I've seen in the past week and a within the month they had one of their editors spend an entire hour spewing venom and old debunked lies and talking points about Clinton. Brian could keep in his seat...he was sooooo excited.
I can't remember the last time a Joe Connason or Katrina Van den Huevel has been on this show. And, as always, balanced calls mean 1 Repugnican, 1 Democrat, 1 Repugnican, 1 Independent, 1 Repugnican, 1 Democrat...rinse and repeat...and make sure to always cut the Democratic callers off or accidentally hit the Repugnican button by mistake.

2. That's because he only reads his own rag...... |
|
My suggestion to him is he start reading legitimate newspapers and he will find plenty about Edwards campaign. Do they really believe the crap they spew? You have to be downright stupid if you do.

4. Wait, Let Me Get This Straight |
|
the media reports on nothing (about John Edwards) other than his hair. Then, they say his campaign is "dead" because there are no articles about his campaign, only his hair?
:wtf:

6. Consider The Source... |
|
His comments about Obama were from another planet as well. He claimed that all he heard in '04 was about a Hillary/Obama ticket...I guess John Kerry was a mere afterthought...and how Obama's not really that accessible.
No substance here...strictly spin and astroturfing.
How much ya wanna bet Mittens spends more on his haircuts than Edwards does...

Edwards maintains his lead. His campaign is dead? I don't think so! See the link to the latest poll below. http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/section?category=iowapoll07

8. They Cited "RealClearPolitics" |

Major red flag...a heavily biased site. I thought they had vanished after being so wrong last year.
The GOOP is scared shit of Edwards since he's so popular with their wimmen.

7. Other than the stupid Edwards comment.. |
|
which is self fulfilling prophesy, I thought he came off as a semi-functioning human being. I didn't think the WaTimes had any of those on staff. By that I mean that he gave the news from a RW point of view without thinking that it was his job to call the Democrats childish names and make up piles of crap.

9. Edwards and the others |
|
In both primary runs, the possibility that there will be no run-away candidate exists, and the manipulation of the 24 hour coverage (The Howard Dean scream") makes it unlikely that candidates such as Guliani can maintain his fake macho image clear thru the primaries. Both Edwards and Obama have a lot working for them, and in my own opinion either one is fine with me.

10. Why I'm Blissfully Uncommitted |
|
This is nothing more than political American Idol. The only "votes" being garnered these days come in the form of checks for the candidates and ratings for the networks. What we see and hear now will nowhere represent the political landscape and dynamic 6 months or 9 months from now from when the first primary vote is cast. This is just a dog & pony show for the political junkies and the large corporate enterprise that has evolved around them.
At this point in the '76 campaign, who outside of Georgia had heard of Jimmy Carter? Or in May '91...with Poppy Bush's approvals in the 70s, who thought that "hick" from Arkansas, Clinton would even survive New Hampshire? The corporate media had Mario Cuomo all but written in.
Right now my focus is on working locally to help give Democrats in Congress a bigger margin next year. Let the corporate media play its game show.
Cheers...
