Chris Mathews must think he has a special dispensation that allows him to be craven and stupid and
STILL be a "respected political commentator".

I've just listened to him announce that "it is impossible not to like" Christine O'Donnell because she is such a "real person"!

This is just about as outrageous and ignorant as Ms. O'Donnell herself. The only distinction that she arguably deserves is that she actually makes Sarah Palin look better by comparison.

By her own account, she has been a witch, would have been a Hare Krishna adherent but for their vegetarian dietary regimen and is now, conveniently, a "born-again Christian---Halelujah!!!!"

She believes that US scientists---Godless socialists all!---have manufactured lab mice with "fully functioning human brains".

She claims knowledge of "classified information" detailing China's "secret plan to take over our country."

The woman is a serial liar who lacks the intelligence to do even a half-assed job of lying.

Impossible not to like her? She's a real person? It is now obvious to anyone who cares that you, Mr. Mathews, will be complimentary of any female politician who passes your "arousal" test. I will end this here lest I conjure up visual imagery that would totally ruin any sane person's evening.

You are, increasingly, a bad joke masquerading as a political observer.

4. Matthews is wrong at least 99.99% of the time
But he's praised for the remaining <0.01% as if he's a unique genius 24/7.

He even enjoys a curiously protected status here @ DU, which baffles me. Every now and then he takes a ham-fisted potshot at a Conservative, but it doesn't make up for a career of attacking Dems and Democratic values while lobbing softballs to Republicans.

For an hour, I forgot that he was a sputtering, pasty-faced idiot.

7. And his stupid takedown of Dick Blumenthal
was ridiculous. It really seemed like false outrage to pander to the right. It made little sense regardless of his political pov.

10. I'm sure he'll "balance" that with a withering attack on Mark Kirk, the GOP Senate candidate in
Illinois, real soon---NOT!

Mr. Kirk has similar "military record problems", but how many times has that been mentioned on the MSM?

8. There is something a little sad about her. I can understand a guy feeling protective of her.
She looks lost. She IS lost. I really don't think she knows what she's doing at this point.

This is a sad head case. So maybe we should feel sorry for her. I'd like to, but I have lots of people ahead of her in my line of people to care about...but I can understand why someone would take her little pathetic persona and make her a pitiful case...

I've just listened to him announce that "it is impossible not to like" Christine O'Donnell because she is such a "real person"!

I don't think he meant anything more than lip service for the 20 or 40 Republicans whose remotes got stuck on MSNBC at 5 PM.

But you're right Chris Matthews is past his prime, he should be put out to pasture by next year, totally irrelevant and not very cool with what he says, he's trying to be like Keith with his last few minutes every day trying to sound like Keith's "moments"

Chris, you never learned what Keith can do so well, and you fuck up every time you lick up the dress of someone like O'Donnell.

Retire, Chris, RETIRE!

12. If she does become "Senator O'Donnell"...
...she can always convert to the Bush Crime Family "religion": Moonie-ism!

There are real $Big Buck$ opportunities to be had for the politically-connected followers of Rev. Moon.

13. Maybe, but if you get to Senate level, you're covered for life...
with all those socialist policies.

I think I could support a family and put four kids through college with the benefits our Congressmen receive after only a few years of work.

I am SOOOOO running for Congress.

There is nothing of value on MSNBC before 8.
Chris Matthews has gone too far in many things he has said/believes.
He is a trash.
