How pissed off will the republicans be if bush/cheney |
|
refuses to leave office? We all know that the rest of the world, including the Democratic party will be screaming to high heaven. But truly do you believe he would step down even at the end of his appointed presidency?
I'm having doubts.
and I thought my nightmare last night of evading space creators was bad. First they caused earthquakes, then they took all things not nailed down...then I woke up.

3. The 25% that still support him... |

...will be fine with that. They seem to agree with the Bushista model of governance, "By any means necessary, hold on to power and avoid accountability."

5. It won't come to that. They are going to steal another election. |

The BushAmerican Banana Republic will continue. The World's Only Superpower will reign victorious.

a new supply of white hats. Ours are getting pretty black with all the dust and debris, I don't think they will suffice for the new empire. We are dirty but we ARE number ONE!

Why would they want to stay? They've already made their money, and Bush as his farm in Paraguay. Cheney can reassume the reins at Halliburton in Abu Dhabi.

9. My husband thinks like the OP, that they aren't leaving. |
|
I agree with you. They are fat & happy & the dems will not slow them down much the next 18 months so they'll be damned fat & happy by Jan '09. I'm not sure boosh wouldn't go today if he could. I think, for him, it started out fun, & especially after 9/11 when his ratings soared, he reveled in his popularity. I think he has been surprised by how quickly things turned & that presidentin' isn't much fun anymore.

7. The way they're running out the clock in Iraq makes me think |
|
they intend to leave.
On the other hand, there is that "decapitating attack" contingency plan that the WH put forward, so there's plenty for conspiracy buffs to chew on, I suppose.
Personally, I assume they're going to leave. I do think, however, that the plan I just mentioned was put forward as a sort of "if we really luck out" sort of thing. And they'll keep the doors open to invite an attack, I've no doubt- just as I suspect they did with the 9-11 attacks.
