KKK to hold rally to support student who said she would not counsel to gays
The Ku Klux Klan will hold a rally in support of an Augusta State University counseling student who claims her First Amendment rights were violated when the school ordered her to learn more about the homosexual community.

Bobby Spurlock, Imperial Wizard Knighthawk and Grand Dragon of South Carolina and North Carolina, said today they have met with school officials and plan to protest the school’s treatment of 24-year-old Jennifer Keeton on Oct. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. They will be in full dress and located across from the school’s main Walton Way entrance in the median at Fleming Avenue.

Spurlock said they believe Keeton’s First Amendment rights were violated when the school required her to participate in a remediation program after she objected to counseling homosexuals.

Keeton sued the university in July because she felt she was not allowed to retain her biblical viewpoints and remain a graduate student.

1. Keeton ought to re-read the passage on David and
Jonathan.

That's also Biblical.

As for the full-regalia Klan demonstration, they're an organization highly given to cheap terrorist theater but they no longer represent a percentage of the population that amounts to baseline support. They're here and they're there, but there ain't much of 'em out there compared to everybody else.

4. Sounds logical -- from their point of view, I mean.
The Tea Party sure has attracted a host of nutbags and loonies and bigots.

It just doesn't have the feel of a sustaining political model.

3. Another headline I'd like to see: "China, Cuba & Iran come to aid of U.S. military in DADT battle"
:sarcasm:

5. Good. I think this is a great thing.
The visual imagery of homophobia being advocated for by the Klan in their full regalia is priceless.

You're a homophobe? Well you're on the same side as the Klan.

6. I think she should just be kicked out of the grad school without the dipolma.

8. Nice dress, Grand Kleagle!
Too bad everyone's wearing the same design, though. Don't you just hate when that happens?

9. Excellent. This makes the point very nicely.
Honestly, the Gay Conspiracy Central Committee itself could not have planned anything better than this.

11. Keeton rejected the KKK rally.

I learned about this story from the blog of Alvin McEwen.

Keeton should find another job that doesn't require tolerance of gays (i.e. tool of the anti-gay industry). Is that an abundant job market? Good luck.
