now perhaps it is me, but since Obama took over there have been MORE CMH's awarded and this is not a coincidence. The CMH comes with certain rights that COST money.
Certain things like oh automatic entrance to a service academy for the kid of that soldier. Or for kids. Free college, and I believe free medical.

thinking...I wish those who work & protest for peace were held in the same high regard in our society as soldiers. Herein lies the crux of the problem.

they are rare as hell...
As to in high regard... there was a time when Quakers joined as medics. A high percentage won the CMN too. Their actions and motives WENT into the commendations.
