Arne Duncan
He should follow Rahm out the door. Duncan is one of the worst Obama appointments.

7. How does he look in a bathing suit?
Does his smile light up a room full of union bashers and charter school exec?

Do we not deserve him either?

5. I'm surprised the Club For Growth doesn't support him.
He's cut from their cloth IMO.

6. Absolutely.
He's of a piece with the rest though. I'm not sure replacing him would lead to a change in the philosophies of the Administration.

11. It's not reform. It's anti-reform.
Union-busting and humiliation and privatizing is not reform.

12. You and the Blue Dog crew? The billionaires club? The neoliberal philosophy? The Bush legacy?
And, of course, Obama.

"Reform," indeed.

9. Gingrich would have been a better Sec. of Ed pick.
Not that there's any philosphical difference between the two. But Gingrich is brighter.

14. He's served his purpose.
By f'in waking up the NEA to the fact that it takes more than just getting a Democrat elected. Teachers should have been in the streets when Duncan's nomination was announced.
