That's the ideology of Ronald Reagan - they're embarrassed big time. Keep it on the front page.

2. What makes you say that?
Even here, people seem to think he got what he deserved. I hope you're right, but I haven't seen much evidence of compassion.

6. I for one am sorry that the man chose to live a libertarian life style that resulted in him losing

his house. I am sorry that some people think that they can refuse to contribute but still demand equal protection.
I think that everyone should have their lives and property protected.
I am sorry some people do not choose to contribute to the system that should be there to protect them.

4. Yes they are terrified. Because abdicating the needs of the people is right up their alley.....
Governments, and even communities by majority rule, cannot decide that public safety is negotiable.

If you want protection, you pay for it. If you don't, then don't pay.

Are we fucking kidding? In this nation - founded for the very protections we didn't have and needed?

5. Looneytarians, ReTHUGS and Teabaggers don't understand that...
...all they need to do, is go to Zimbabwe, The Congo, or massive swaths of Indonesia or Borneo to see what a "pay for services" government is like. I did a lot of traveling to different parts of the globe to third-world countries, where 10 percent of the population lives behind cement walls/razor-wired armed guarded communities, and pay out of their pockets for police, fire, water distribution, trash collection, and other services that we consider basic and vital. The other 90 percent of the population outside of those walls pretty much fends for themselves and lives in abject squalor.

It is definitely not the future that any one of us would really like to see happen to this nation.
