When my son was a cop he told us if he ever got killed on the job not to have one of those big police funerals for him, he found them morbid and depressing. He wasn't married at the time so it would have been up to his mom and I and what he wanted is what we would have done. So I assume he would have felt the same way about a military funeral. But again it would have been his call. I haven't talked to him about it lately but he isn't on the police force anymore so I guess it's a moot point.

Regardless of what kind of a funeral it is nobody should have it disrupted by a piece of shit like phelps and his gang. And if anybody wants to knock his dick in the dirt I'd never try to stop them.

This lady is both scary and dangerous. She's on Planet Q but is well versed in the law...effective enough that she was not only able to present the case to the SCOTUS but appears she may win. She was able to twist every argument back into the First Ammendment and it's hard to refute her logic. It's maddening.

-where only *real* friends, loved ones & supporters will attend. A family friend would appear at the "fake" location and announce to the Phelpsters (via a bullhorn) "You assholes have been punked; enjoy your drive back to Topeka." By the time the real funeral is over, it would be too late for them to do anything about it.

YES- I realize that a grieving parent would have little time or inclination to set up such a ruse.. but a dedicated group of anti-Phelps volunteers might be able to pull it off on behalf of grieving families. I'd be up for it.
