MoveOn and PFAW Will Picket the Chamber of Commerce.
I'd been wondering how long it would take before someone thought to turn up at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters and question their spending on election ads, particularly the issue of possible foreign fund.

It turns out that both MoveOn and People for the American Way are planning to do just that. Read on:

Our friends at MoveOn have organized a rally at the Chamber's DC office tomorrow at noon. Please join PFAW, MoveOn and other progressive activists at the rally.

We need a good crowd to show the media that this will not stand.

What: Rally Against Foreign Influence on our Elections

Where: Chamber of Commerce, 1615 H Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20062

When: Thursday, October 7, 2010, Noon

The Chamber has a radical pro-corporate agenda that embraces excess and greed, encourages outsourcing and sees environmental protection, public health and workers' rights and safety only as obstacles to overcome... and they plan to overcome those obstacles by smearing progressive lawmakers and working to elect Republicans -- the Chamber is enthusiastically supporting some of the Far-Right extremist candidates PFAW has been working to expose.

Please join us and our friends at MoveOn tomorrow at 12 noon. We hope to see you there!

See also the PFAW and MoveOn websites.
