John Lennon would have been 70 this Saturday.
The traditional gathering at the Strawberry Fields Memorial in Central Park will again be held, with musicians expected to start playing around noon. The Memorial is very close to the park entrance at 72nd Street and Central Park West. If you're in or around NYC, consider stopping by. Some more info below and I hope to see you there.

1. I'm sorry, but that really hurts my head. How's that possible if
I am still a 14 year-old????

Hey, move away from my psychologist's records!

10. They know!! My 4 year old great-nephew knows
he absolutely (thanks to me) ADORES "Beatle John" as he calls him-he can sing all his songs, he's watched "A Hard Day's Night" more times than I have-he even knows how he died. John Lennon will always live on in his music and his dedication to peace.

5. While I will not
be able to attend, I am happily on my way to pick up the "new" Lennon releases.

7. That would have been nice.
I would have loved to have been able to hear his thoughts on different issues through the years.

8. His message of Peace
was still alive in 1980...and TPTB couldn't have any more of it. Go ahead, :tinfoilhat: but I believe 'they' had him killed.

I remember the phone call from my mother when she called to tell me. No internet back then....she was on the east coast and got the news first. So very sad.

I got to see The Beatles twice....once in Cincinnati and another time in Toronto. I was so very grateful....still am.
