Gasoline is $400 dollars per gallon in Afghanistan?
It is a landlocked country. Most of supplies by land have to go thru areas like the Khyber Pass. History defines the difficulty of that task.

A couple of weeks ago, NATO planes reportedly killed a top Taliban leader. This pissed off the Taliban to no end. They sought revenge.

They torched about 12 tankers on their way with fuel to help the American and NATO forces. They are impotent without fuel.

Basically, that is what is happening in Afghanistan at this moment.
