Why are we increasing Pakistan drone strikes?
I mean I understand warmongering and wanting to hit terrorists hard. But usually we'd be doing this secretly and lying about it to keep Pakistan on our side.

What I don't get is why we have openly increased these strikes even when it's turning Pakistan against us and forcing them to close us off. Obama seems more likely to respond this by publicly saying we'll stop the drone attacks.

Why are we willing to hurt our plans for Afghanistan by ticking off Pakistan?

Are we thinking they are really against us? Thinking "they're going to hate us anyway."

Or are we thinking what's the use in having Pakistan's govt. on our side when they're probably going to be overthrown. That means no faith Pakistan won't be taken over by Islamists.

Help me to understand why we're openly doing these strikes still when even Bush either hid it from Pakistan or wasn't doing it in Pakistan.

2. Because we can, apparently. After all, what other country would allow that without retaliation?
If another country flew a drone over our soil and killed our civilians we would nuke them back to the stone age before sundown.

5. I'm not even talking about the morality of it....I don't get it logistically..
If we had a bunch of Al Qaeda cells active in the Northeast US our military would kill them, unlike Pakistan who coddle them.

3. Why did we bomb Laos and Cambodia?
The MIC demands a wider war for more profits, and the administration is obliging them.

6. I'm looking for real reasons not conspiracy theories...
The MIC would make a heck of a lot more by not pissing off Pakistan anyway so that theory makes little sense. They make billions in contracts with Pakistan.

8. Increasing makes it sound mild
Look up the numbers, drone strikes have multiplied exponentially over the last 2 years.

10. but the increase has been almost daily strikes and this is after
Supply lines were shut off. Instead of decreasing them to get Pakistan to reopen the routes.
