Murdered Kansas abortion doctor's clinic for sale

WICHITA | A real estate company's "for sale" sign has been posted outside the Wichita clinic formerly operated by murdered abortion provider Dr. George Tiller.

David Gittrich of the anti-abortion group Kansans for Life sent an e-mail to members Thursday mentioning the sign. He also floated the idea of buying the former clinic and turning it into a memorial for the fetuses aborted there.

The clinic has been closed since Tiller was shot to death in May 2009. Tax records available online list its appraised value as $734,100.

Lee Thompson, an attorney for the Tiller family, said the clinic has been up for sale for some time. He said the family would not comment.
