Riddle me this, Batman
The private sector is hiring, the government is laying off workers and taxes for most people are lower than they were in 2008. What is the Tea Party mad about?

Oh, right... the president is still black.

3. Riddle me this, Batman
The Government sector is hiring and the private sector
is laying off workers. A private corporation
working on a government contract is not a real
private corporation.

4. Hey, don't stop there...private companies getting tax breaks and incentives from the
government...WHICH THEY ALL VIRTUALLY DO...are not private companies according to your "logic."

12. That's different.
According to that logic, people earning under the tax threshold are government employees.

This also sort of assumes that everything we earn belongs to the government by some kind of right.

Which is an interesting sort of argument, that has been advanced before.

5. Then by that logic, the entire defense industry is really a government-sponsored boondoggle.
Right? RIGHT?

11. Absolutely.
It is also just about the most wasteful and expensive boondoggle in US history, probably the history of the world.

10. Yup. A government contract is not private sector industry.
It's taking money out of the hands of taxpayer A and putting it into the hands of gov't employee B. The only difference between this practice and private industry is that taxpayer A doesn't have a choice about purchasing the services of gov't employee/contractor B.

Of course, some folks think that's a big difference.
