GINGRICH SPREADS THE MANURE AT LIBERTY UNIVERSITY

Here we go with the womanizer, Newt Gingrich, spreading the manure all over the graduating sheep of Liberty University.
Here's Newty:
"A growing culture of radical secularism declares that the nation cannot profess the truths on which it was founded," Gingrich said. "We are told that our public schools can no longer invoke the creator, nor proclaim the natural law nor profess the God-given quality of human rights.

That's right Newt, instill the sense of victim-hood into the deluded minds of the religious dunderheads, and you've got them by the short hairs. That will insure a certain degree of militancy for life.

Now, I don't know what Newt was talking about when he said something about "...the truths on which it was founded." The truth is the Founding Fathers where, for the most part, radical secularists.

Here's Thomas Paine:

"Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind." From - The Age of Reason

"All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit. "

Here we have Thomas Jefferson:

"History I believe furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance, of which their political as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purpose. " – Thomas Jefferson to Baron von Humboldt, 1813

Unfortunately Newt and his kind will continue this fraudulent idea that secularism is anti American. What pisses me of is the fact that Gingrich, should know better. He's a Conservative with and actual brain in his pumpkin sized head, and a history professor as well. I doubt he believes half the shit he says. So when he's spreading this kind of nonsense, it means he's a big fucking liar--as well as dangerous political operative.

1. My dogs chase newts around the deck. Hard to take anything that spews
from his mouth even remotely seriously. Just another empty brained republican vomiting some festering substances. Best to ignore.

5. Newt. Ewww. Most of us were happy to see him go 10 years ago. Is he a fungus, or something?
He just keeps regrowing and regenerating. :puke: MKJ

10. newt seems to spout the right wing christian meme....
that our nation was founded on right wing evangelical principles.

As the OP pointed out, our founding fathers had other ideas.

The concept of a "wall" between church and state was Jefferson's, himself a deist as were several other of our founders.

All in all, wouldn't it be great is Newt got the nomination?

Maybe he could answer why he seeks a secular position on the basis of opposing secularism?
