Bush greets NATO leader at ranch
By BEN FELLER, Associated Press Writer

CRAWFORD, Texas - A relaxed President Bush welcomed NATO's top diplomat to his ranch Sunday for talks to be dominated by the surging violence in Afghanistan.

Bush and first lady Laura Bush greeted Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer and his wife, Jeannine, in late afternoon sunshine after the guests arrived by helicopter.

"A little slice of heaven," Bush said of his 1,600-acre getaway from Washington.

The president, in blue jeans and cowboy boats, then climbed in his extended-cab pickup truck and drove drove the couples to the Bushes' house down the road — men in the front seat, women in the back seat.

2. So many things wrong with this that I'm having difficulty finding a starting point.
Edited on Sun May-20-07 05:23 PM by BleedingHeartPatriot
The jeans, Laura's sunglasses, the wierd posturing and posing or the fact that Bush is just enjoying life while the men and women who live or have been sent to Iraq are slaughtered.

So many things. MK

8. Yea well, it's 1,600+ times bigger than my yard! If I had even half of that, I'd
at least have a few head of cattle and some chickens! Ya can't trust that Shrub FDA with their food inspections anymore!

on edit - OMG, he's wearing that ranch shirt again. That's either the only shirt he keeps down there, or he's got a whole closet full of the same shirt.

30. just like Little Orphan Annie! Or a movie wardrobe department, more like it
I bet all his socks are the same color too, so he won't accidentally walk out wearing mismatched ones. My guess is that he also has a couple of different "workin' man" costume shirt designs (an artfully-dirtied T-shirt, and a long-sleeved number with the sleeves carefully rolled up and pinned in place, to make it look like he's doing "hard work").

18. What's with the dirty tires?
The truck looks clean, could they not have done the tires as well?

What an embarrassment this man is. To the United States. To the human race.

is suspect around here. I'll bet he only has 20 miles or so on that big ass truck.

Maybe he will do a "looking for the WMD in Crawford" skit to entertain the visitors and relieve the stress.
