Glenn Beck asks for more prayers concerning his health in a strange message
Edited on Fri Oct-08-10 12:16 PM by RamboLiberal
Source: Examiner.com

Speaking in a very emotional tone Glenn Beck asked his listeners today for prayers. It is not abnormal for Beck to be emotional in his broadcasts, and it is also not unusual for Beck to ask for prayers of protection. However, this message seemed particularly strange and mysterious. Watch the full video to the left.

Before the message Beck said he was not going to be on the air Monday and Tuesday because he was leaving to have medical tests done "out west." The Blaze, Beck's "news" website, reports that the talk show host has been having problems with feeling in his hands and feet. Beck has also been having issues with his vocal cords. The report says that "small fibers" may be involved. Beck says he believes that the "physical, mental, and spiritual are all tied" behind his problems.

I started a GD thread on this earlier but thought it also deserved to be in LBN.

3. God is punishing him
I am sure his god is punishing him for being such a jerk. Or maybe not. Who knows? Maybe his god is too busy with more important things than Beck's problems.

Then does that mean God has been punishing the rest of us by having Beck in the news all the time?

65. Only those who are foolish enough
to watch him. They may not realize it at the moment just as someone who dallies with prostitutes, drinks and dopes to excess, robs their fellow man etc.,etc., etc., may enjoy the sins without thinking about the future conequences and the fact that someday they will pay the piper. Gawd almighty I'm starting to sound like Beck myself even though I never watch him.

He has the choice, the freedom, the coverage, the money to actually have something checked out, worked on. So why is he any better then the masses out there who have little or no coverage at all? They don't have the option to "go west, east or any place else but "go home" and take two aspirin!!

4. Spiritual, mental and physical are indeed tied
No feeling in hands or feet = Disconnected from the sensory world

Problems with his vocal cords = He talks too much and needs to be quiet for a while.

The Universe is very clear in its message here.

The vocal cord thing is just from talking too much.

24. GLENN BECK IS GOING TO BE FIRED FROM FOX!!!!
I listened to him all morning and the one thingt hat kept frunning through my mind is that he is using this "Illness" as his reason for "leaving" fox. All the signs are there and if you listen to his words, you can see the groundwork being laid. This my prediction, he will be fired in the next 3 months and will use his "Illness" as his excuse".

When I was a little kid and played sick from school, I used the same tone of voice that he used when he was in his "pity me, I am sick" mode. Once that segment was over, he sounds 100% back to his old self.

55. Fine, let's all tell Glenn Beck we're praying for him...
Study challenges prayers for the sick

<snip>

Each night of the trial, the team faxed a list of the patients to be prayed for to three Christian groups, whose members prayed for successful surgery and a quick recovery. Each of these patients was on the prayer list for two weeks. The doctors then monitored all the patients for medical complications in the 30 days following surgery.

The investigators found that praying made no difference to the health of patients who didn't know whether they were being prayed for or not. But the group who knew that they were being prayed for was approximately 14% more at risk of complications, mainly abnormal heart rhythms. Perhaps, the investigators suggest, this was because it made them more anxious.

The study, which was funded by the John Templeton Foundation, an organization that sponsors research examining science and religion, is published in the American Heart Journal1.

67. He blew my mind Freeway Shooter on his way to Tides to kill says of Beck
Wonder if this is why Becky is suddenly ill - to divert this story next week?

This past summer, as the SF Chronicle reported at the time, a convicted felon named Byron Williams "loaded up his mother's Toyota Tundra with guns, strapped on his body armor and headed to San Francisco...with one thing in mind: to kill workers" at the ACLU and the Tides Foundation, hoping to "start a revolution."

On Monday, the progressive watchdog group Media Matters for America will release an interview it conducted with Williams in which he explains that Glenn Beck's Fox News show "blew his mind." From the interview:

MEDIA MATTERS: When you talk about how conservative values have been lost in this country you were talking before about the liberal media. You were saying maybe Fox was the exception. You think Fox is worthwhile?

BYRON WILLIAMS: Well, I'm not gonna say anyone is worthwhile. But I would've never started watching Fox if it wasn't for the fact that Beck was on there. And it was the things that he did, it was the things he exposed that blew my mind. I said, well, nobody does this.

71. A few months ago
In true Glenn Beck form, sarcasm shone through his tears as he announced he was suffering from a condition that could eventually make him blind to an audience of 6,000 attending his “American Revival” tour in Salt Lake City Saturday.

Following the initial announcement, Beck joked that he was “too darn lazy to learn Braille.” His loyal fans wouldn’t expect anything less.

The Fox News host showed a clip of the announcement Monday night on his show, Glenn Beck.

"Yes, I have a problem with my eyes," Beck said in his announcement. "A couple of weeks ago, I went to the doctor because I can’t focus my eyes ... So I went to the best doctor I could find … he did all kinds of tests, and he said I have macular dystrophy."

75. he seems to have one thing right (IMO)

"Beck says he believes that the "physical, mental, and spiritual are all tied" behind his problems."

It is my opinion that he is deficient in all three areas.

It doesn't surprise me that his physical issues may be rooted in his poor mental and spiritual conditions.

82. Beck believes that he's a prophet...
and treats his listeners as if they were a church. He honestly believes that God speaks through him and is using Beck in some masterful end-of-days plan.
