Whitman, Fiorina hammer tequila shots in order to pimp Latino votes
Next up: Whitman and Fiorina to order Chalupas at Taco Bell because Latinos like drive-through Mexican food.

Tequila! Whitman, Fiorina down shots in appeal to Latinos

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/10/09/5262038-tequila-whitman-fiorina-down-shots-in-appeal-to-latinos

From NBC's John Boxley

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina received a warm welcome here from the audience at the Hispanic 100 lifetime Achievement Award Gala. Before speaking, the two Republican candidates running for governor and Senate, respectively, downed shots of tequila as the crowd cheered them on.

Fiorina spoke first, saying, "Mucho gracias. This evening has spoiled me forever, from now on, I want to follow Paul Rodriguez , and i think every speech should begin with a shot of Tequila." Then she let out a yell, "It was great!"

Fiorina says California and the United States have been deeply enriched by Latinos, and pointed out that 25% of all Latino small businesses in the U.S. are here in California.

1. "Mucho gracias?" Lordy
All those smiling faces were laughing at a Gringa with typically atrocious Spanish, trust me. I know, too may of my Spanish speaking patients would try to switch to English when I'd try to speak Spanish to them, I know the drill. They're just far too polite to laugh out loud.

They might have gotten hammered on Tequila, but there's no way they're going to get any new votes out of that crowd.

4. I agree with Fiorina
all speeches should start with shots of tequila

it would make them way more interesting

of course in some cases, the audience should be the ones given the tequila

6. If either of them win, we'll all be hammering shots of tequila
Tequila comes in 175-gallon totes, right?
