Had a campaign worker at my door just now...
...who was campaigning on behalf of a candidate for state rep. She's advocating that she will vote to CUT her own salary and salaries of other politicians by 10% since they need to share in the sacrifice that we've all had to do. Interesting idea. I'll have to look into this candidate some more before I cast my vote. Looks like she's running as an Independent, but leaning Democratic.

2. It is a good idea!
And if I am not mistaken someone in congress, a new democrat member, tried to get a bill to the floor to do pretty much the same thing, but it never made it. No matter how good the persons ideas are, and no matter how sincere they are, it takes the leaders in the majority party to get any kind of a bill like this on the floor, and sadly it seems that no matter what party they are in, the usually won't do anything to hurt their salaries! I hope the candidate in your state has a better shot at it than they did in the U.S. congress!

4. Deserves a serious look.
Not many candidates seem to *get* the idea of public service.

5. This is really just gimmicky bullshit that can't be taken seriously. It make almost ZERO difference
to a state or national budget. I don't like this gimmicky shit. Get real on the real issues of the day.
