There's a surprise. I wonder why Bill Clinton is even wasting time on her?

Lincoln may support extending tax cuts for the wealthy in light of 'circumstances'
By Darren Goode - 10/09/10 10:32 AM ET

Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) Friday signaled she is open to extending Bush administration tax cuts beyond the middle-class incentives President Obama and congressional Democratic leaders are seeking.

Lincoln – one of the most endangered Democratic incumbents in the Nov. 2 midterm election – said she may support extending tax cuts set to expire at the end of the year for those making as much as $1 million annually.

"I don't think we should have to say that we're either going to extend the Bush tax cuts or we're going to take on the Obama tax cuts," Lincoln told the Associated Press and other reporters. "I think, as a Congress, it's our responsibility to look at the economic circumstances that exist and what the opportunities are to make sure it fits the needs of what we have today."

Obama and Democratic leaders have said that after the November elections they want to extend tax cuts for individuals making less than $200,000 and married couples making less than $250,000.

4. It doesn't matter what she thinks now...
She won't be around long enough to have a say in the matter anyhow. She's about to get her ass handed to her. :puke:

5. God knows those millionaires need every penny
they can get.:puke: :puke: :puke: It's a fucking good thing that Congress doesn't have to look at people on SS and SSI think that "it's our responsibility to look at the economic circumstances that exist and what the opportunities are to make sure it fits the needs of what we have today."

What a delusional "Democrat" she is. Talk about fucked up priorities.

6. " to make sure it fits the needs of what we have today" What is "it"?
I've read that gibberish line three times and I can't understand what she's saying. I've got a suspicion about what she thinks the "opportunities" are, however: gutting Social Security and Medicare etc. rather than raise the marginal tax rate 3% on the wealthy. I hope she goes down in flames.
