Blogger defines Republican strategy
A blogger early this morning accurately described the strategy of the Republican/FoxNews/Tea Party faction. From the Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel Online. www.jsonline.com

"slash taxes" - run up deficits, increase interest costs to everyone just to fund the basics of good government, and give the rich a chance to run out of state with what their earned on stock investments just sitting back while other do the tough work of rebuilding the economy.

"slash spending" - but not to programs that benefit me or my business. Grandma and Grandpa are still breathing and have a little left in their savings - how about we shut down Medicare and put them back to work - lazy ingrates.

"have government get out of the way" - so we can start experiencing the good old days of child labor, police and federal troops shooting striking workers, indentured servitude, and all those other "shining moments" that the Beckerheads, Johnsonites, Walkermaniacs, and their Republicans handlers don't want to talk about.

He/she is on the money!!!

so long.

The equation is simply 'self-enrichment at the direct expense of the social and physical infrastructure of the nation, i.e. naked self-interest over the country's interests. The age-old sedition of the rich, who indeed see themselves as actually constituting 'the country', so they perceive no cognitive dissonance, as they wrapt themselves in the flag, while the country goes to rack and ruin.
