Re: Foreclosuregate: DO NOT BE SURPRISED if the Republicans turns this around and blame Obama. |

If there is a way for the GOP to pin "Foreclosuregate" on Obama -- THEY WILL. They can and will use this to win the mid-terms.
I can already hear the dirt SPLATTERING against the WH with:
"Wasn't Obama's 'Making Home Affordable Plan' only a ruse to distract all of us while the Foreclosure Mills rushed to complete all their dirty deeds in record time?"
--or--
"Wasn't it Obama who bailed out all the banks? The very same banks who would now reap HUGE HUGE profits from record foreclosures of the homes of America's poor ordinary citizens?"
Then comes the headline: "Government had been warned for months about troubles in mortgage servicer industry."
I hope Obama's veto stems the tide, but I won't hold my breath.

Republicans are running on the fact that President Obama has failed to fix the mess President Bush caused. Thier motto this cycle is "Vote out Democrats for failing to repair the damage Republicans caused!"
