ABC's Good Morning America Weekend Gave Misleading Campaign Information
I know noone at DU will be surprised by this information, but I decided to let everyone know about it anyway. This morning during a segment on the 2010 elections Good Morning America Weekend gave incorrect information about some of the Senate elections that made things seem better for Republicans than they are in reality. The biggest problem was when the anchor was listed he supposedly Democratic controlled Seante seats that seemed to be leaning Republican. In that Louisiana was listed as a state with a Democratic held Senate seat that was seemed to be leaning Republican. Some may say that is slightly true in that Louisiana has a Democratic Senator. Louisiana has a Democratic Senator, but the statement is still completely inaccurate in that the Democratic Senator is not up for reelection this year. She Senator Mary Landrieu won her reelection bid last year. This year Republican Senator David Vitter is up for reelection. Therefore, Louisiana is a Republican held seat that seems to be leaning Republican.

The next problem came in the anchor and the graphic putting the Connecticut Senate Race in the category of a toss, in which the race could go either way. I realize a great deal can change in a few days, but the latest polls I have seen (October 5 and 7) show Richard Blumenthal, the Democratic candidate holding a 10+ point lead over Linda McMahon. I think most people would not call that a toss up election. It is possible that other data from Good Morning America Weekend was also inaccurate.

1. Good.
If they think they will win they are more likely to stay home and not vote. Tell them it's close and they GOTV.

2. I pay no attention at all to the network morning programs - they all lie all the time.

After the regional and local channels eraly in the AM for the local news and weather, we go to HLN for news till the morning idiots are done on MSNBC.

I was a long time fan of GMA, till I realized how biased they were and how much they twisted what I knew to be truth to benefit the GOP.

I don't watch republicans on TV at all, and I don't want any GOP propaganda in my home either - I see enough of it every day without even trying.
