Product Labels that prove a majority is stupid |
|
In Honour of Stupid People . . . In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods.
On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom) -- 'Do not turn upside down.' (well,...duh, a bit late, huh!)
==========================
On Sainsbury's peanuts -- 'Warning: contains nuts.' (talk about a news flash)
===========================
On Boot's Children Cough Medicine -- 'Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication.' (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get those 5 year-olds with head-colds off those bulldozers.)
==========================
On Marks &Spencer Bread Pudding -- 'Product will be hot after heating.' (...and you thought????...)
=======================
On a Sears hairdryer -- Do not use while sleeping. (That's the only time I have to work on my hair.)
====================================
On a bag of Fritos -- You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (the shoplifter special?)
===========================
On a bar of Dial soap -- 'Directions: Use like regular soap.' (and that would be???....)
============================
On some Swanson frozen dinners -- 'Serving suggestion: Defrost.' (but, it's just a suggestion.)
========================
On packaging for a Rowenta iron -- 'Do not iron clothes on body.' (but wouldn't this save me time?)
==============================
On Nytol Sleep Aid -- 'Warning: May cause drowsiness.' (..I'm taking this because???.....)
==============================
On most brands of Christmas lights -- 'For indoor or outdoor use only.' (as opposed to what?)
==========================
On a Japanese food processor -- 'Not to be used for the other use.' (now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.)
==============================
On an American Airlines packet of nuts -- 'Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts.' (Step 3: say what?)
===========================
On a child's Superman costume -- 'Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.' (I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.)
========================
On a Swedish chainsaw -- 'Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals.' (Oh my God..was there a lot of this happening somewhere?)
After reading this list, maybe we need some labels for voting!

1. I can help you out with this if it's one of those vacum pump things that take air out of plastic |
|
food bag's.
On a Japanese food processor -- 'Not to be used for the other use.' (now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.)
You can use it on your bit's and pieces, don't watch much Japanese porn do you?

2. The really sad thing is that most of these labels came to be ther because someone |
|
had problems with the product.
("How the heck can I eat them nuts when they still in that package?")
It's just amazing to think how many of those people will vote in November...

3. The labels aren't for the majority |
|
They are to protect companies from bad publicity and lawsuits. For example, if 10 million people use a product and 10 people end up dead or severely injured/ill from doing something stupid, it still can reflect badly on the company/product and cause them to sued. The labels show that the company did everything that they could to prevent this stupidity. If the majority were actually that stupid, Darwinism would be at work.

4. The Children's Cough Syrup Makes Sense |
|
don't assume only people under 16 take children's medicine. Adults may take it because they need a lower dose or because they prefer liquid form to pill and can't find the adult formula in liquid form

5. It really does make me wonder... |
|
Do these items have warning labels on them to preempt stupidity?
Or are they there because someone has actually done said stupid things?
I go for option #2.
Never underestimate the basic idiocy of human beings.

6. The companies are simply covering their asses |
|
Because as we know, not all Americans are stupid, but unfortunately the few that are make the headlines because they did exactly what the companies labels tell them not too.
Merchandising is aimed at the lowest common denominator. As is our education system apparently.

7. The AA 'Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts.' is funny |

I think it was intended to be humorous.
