David Gregory just lied
He said that the explosion of government spending is due to entitlements. That is not true the biggest increases have been due to defense spending.

5. Gregory is just repeating the Elite Narrative. There is a move.
"reform" Entitlements. Since the rich get the most
money from this economy, it is only logical they
will pay most taxes. They see Entitlements as higher
taxes for themselves(rich) This is why the Republicans
have been working all these years to get rid of SS, Medicare
and Medicaid. If you push the idea that entitlements are
too costly, then it makes it easier to cut them and/or
privatize them Gregory is simply repeating the narrative

You can also see the economy as rigged to favor the rich.
As a country in order to help business we do not require
a living wage, much deregulation favored the rich over
the working class It might appear that the Rich stay
rich on the backs of the working class. Therefore, it
is expected that the Rich would pay more taxes.

Think about the millions of Americans who have worked
with little or no healthcare or other benefits. This
is money the Businesses did not have to pay and went
to profits for the rich.

This is not class warfare. It is reality. Believe
it or not I would like to see more rich people
However, I also want to see fairness in the distribution
of wealth Good jobs with good benefits. Either
pay living wage or the Rich will have to pay more.

in his indoctrinated world - defense spending is "off the table" and thus irrelevant. One must not have any discussion of defense spending in public. That's just in bad taste. :sarcasm:

Defense spending is projected to fall over the next decade. Mandatory spending isn't.

17. Just exactly what I said. I didn't use any big words.
Oh, wait... maybe you didn't undertand "contradict"?

con·tra·dict (kŏn'trə-dĭkt')

1. To assert or express the opposite of (a statement).
2. To deny the statement of. See synonyms at deny.
3. To be contrary to; be inconsistent with.

18. Actually liberals will contradict this.
But the problem is that Liberals don't get booked on Meet The Press. Or any other corporate media show. And the DLC corporatists who DO get booked on these shows are the ones who go along with the right wing narrative.

your word, that I will hear Rachel and Keith and Hartmann and Schultz, et al, make a loud noise about this, and cite all kinds of refudiations.

Unless, of course, you post the youtube videos of those progressives who actually take a stand for the truth about poverty.

29. David lie? This guy has always been an asshole imo. Bashing
liberals too, he is a bad joke.

From 2007:

NBC’s David Gregory: The Angry Left Is Not ‘Very Serious And Tough’ On Iraq
On the Chris Matthews Show this morning, NBC White House correspondent David Gregory said that Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) will need to have “her ‘Sister Souljah’ moment” and distance herself from the “hatred over Iraq” on “the left.”

“The left” needs to “think about how they’re going to engage the war on terror in a very serious and tough way,” said Gregory. Watch it:

33. An just what is the
justification of this obscene level of military spending?

Our remaining enemy, the 'terrorists', have no navy, no air force and no organized military under arms. We don't have to "Fight them there so we don't have to fight them here." because they have no realistic means to get here. Also, terrorists exist in such small numbers that this military spending level is patently absurd. All this military spending amounts to is a huge subsidy for the already obscene wealthy and fear of the ghost of Soviet past.
