The guy has very similar traits to a neighbor of mine years ago that was full blown pschytzophrenic.

Lost his job and was being evicted.

But still seems to have decided to channel it in a politically related direction.

Who has he been listening to and is it possible that he was listening to some vitriolic hatred that triggered him to take this violent action?

Next time we might not be so lucky to have the heroic actions that stopped this guy while he was reloading.

to attempt at holding the RW rabid media to blame (or at least partial blame) for setting these nuts off. I can’t see that there is much difference between hate radio stirring up those prone to hate and bars serving to much alcohol and then letting a drunk get behind the wheels of a car and committing vehicular homicide. Often the bar is help partially responsible and hate radio should too

7. Society Of "Victimhood"

Actually a society self-absorbed in its own importance that can be justified for the most cruel acts and somehow is "explained". Someone loses their job, it's always someone elses fault. Rarely does someone say "ya know I was late one time too many" or didn't perform up to standards, but it's still someone elses fault. Same with relationships, I know way too many divorced people and it's rare when I hear someone admit that he or she had some responsibility in things falling apart. Passing the buck works.

This is especially the case with the right wing who have made a sport out of being victims. They're consumed with how the A-rabs and Mexicuns and Teh Gay and the Colored People are out to get them. Everything that goes wrong is someone elses fault and then they wallow in their self pity. Some manifest itself in incidents like these...almost always never reported by a corporate media that thrives on the hatred.

8. I understand how people can do that.

I spent years thinking if I was at fault in the smears that happened to me, mostly since I have faults.

However I am due beer and travel money, and good experiences.


On a good note, defending a smeared person, and taking the heat for that, has taught me that many people really are victims out there, and they need help.

Even if that means changing the entire world.
