Karl Rove Accuses Obama Of Having An 'Enemies List'
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/10/karl-rove-obama-chamber-of-commerce-enemies-list_n_757253.html

In a performance touched with a bit of crocodile tears and hyperbole, former Bush strategist Karl Rove accused the president on Sunday of having an "enemies list" and degrading the office he holds by launching misleading attacks on conservative groups.

Appearing on "Fox News Sunday," Rove was asked to respond to charges that he had bankrolled shadowy conservative groups in the November elections. Rove insists he has not written checks. But he has worked behind the scenes to help various organizations.

(snip)
"They are tossing out these baseless charges," said Rove. "The president of the United States accused the Chamber of Commerce, and the Democratic National Committee in its new ad accuses Ed Gillespie and I of a criminal violation of our law by getting foreign money and spending it on American political campaigns, and they have not one shred of evidence to back up that baseless lie. This is a desperate and I think disturbing trend by the president of the United States to tar his political adversaries with some kind of enemies list, with being unrestrained by any facts or evidence whatsoever."

(snip)
The fact remains, however, that a resolution to the debate is fairly obvious. Simply disclosing the names of who is donating to each of these institutions would clear the air and validate either Rove or the White House. But with a campaign finance law stuck in congressional limbo and hordes of potential donations at stake in this election, transparency has instead been replaced by innuendo.

9. He has an enemies list so therefore Obama must have one

This article is a prime example of pure unadulterated projection. He knows his sins and just brands his opponents with what he does, facts be damned. He lies, cheats, threatens and destroys lives but justifies it by claiming 'everyone does it' so he blithely just accuses everyone else of being just like him.

His reality is a dark and mean place.

10. Does any body remember no so long ago the republicans
yelled and screamed and messed themselves if anybody even breathed the wrong way toward Bush and Cheney. You should respect the president in the time of WAR, we are at WAR they yelled. If you don't you are a communist, a traitor, unpatriotic and a terrorist.

But here we have those self same republicans calling Obama every name under the sun and accusing him of crimes no body would even think of. showing pictures of him as a Nazi, and Hitler. How can this be possible. Remember these republicans said you must respect the president in time of WAR, and we are at War in Afghan. So I guess again there are two sides, one the republicans scream ..."do as we say". The other, we are republicans and we can say what we please.

12. Why isn't this man in prison yet?
For crapping on the country with his evil machinations should start the ball rolling.

He's simply a cancerous cyst on the ass of humanity.

15. Not that this would make much difference anymore, but...
I still hold out hope that President Sucker will learn that you can never coddle repukes. You must hit them with everything you have, and you can't be very choosy about your timing. There will always be material to work with - so don't worry about exhausting it. It's not like they don't leave a long trail of prosecutable crimes behind them. Failure to kick them when they're vulnerable will always prove to be bad politics and also bad statecraft - bad for the country in the long run. In the first place, you're never going to get anything from them but obstruction, traps, and a dagger in the back in exchange for your leniency towards them. Then when they are no longer so down and kickable, they will accuse you of every criminal act or abuse they themselves committed while in power. That's what Rove is doing now. He feels strong enough to do so because he and his gang weren't prosecuted. He could be in some legal jeopardy for recent misdeeds, but he knows that the tide is shifting to his side and he will protected in all likelihood by old friends with new power, so he acts as though without fear. He presses his attack recklessly you might say because he knows winning big is the only way to win in our system. Any fear he has is therefore best converted to confident aggression, not caution. The Republican Party should be cowering in collapse and fear right now, with several of their leading figures in jail or awaiting trial; but instead they are resurgent. Do not doubt they will repay the leniency shown to them with new plots and snares. Just as Bill Clinton was repaid with endless special prosecutor "investigations" and, eventually, impeachment in return for his lenient quashing of the Iran-Contra/BCCI scandal, Obama will be repaid for his bipartisanship and centrist moderation towards Republicans with vilification and everything this side of violence. Not that Puke party exponents won't agitate for violence - they will. As soon as the Republican party have power again, they will launch covert and overt investigations directed towards the ultimate goal of impeaching the President, or else with creating a long-running impression among the people that the President is about to be impeached and put on trial. He who hesitates will be ratfucked. Failure to kick Republicans when they are down isn't just bungling, it's a lapse of morals.

That's just frikking rich coming from the guy who most likely came up with, or was part of the team that came up with the 'if you're not with us, you're against us' meme. Apparently that trite little slogan only applies to Republican regimes. If only the Dems had the balls to turn this thing on it's head and applied it to their own use.
