Democrats win an election, largely because the American public demanded reforn to our health care syste.
Republicans respond by calling Democrats "Socialists".
Democrats begin the debate on healthcare by casting aside single payer as part of a deal to line up parmacuitical company and hospital support.
Republicans respond by calling Democrats "Socialists".
Democrats weaken the public opthion as a result of pressure from the right and blue dog democrats.
Republicans respond by calling Democrats "Socialists".
Democrats eliminate the public option entirely, again due to pressure from the right in an attempt to reach a compromise to win some repulican and blue dog dem votes.
Republicans respond by calling Democrats "Socialists".
Democrats pass HCR which creates legislation that while providing important reform preseves and strengthens private inusrance company profits and power.
Republicans respond by calling Democrats "Socialists".
The moral of the story?
If they are gonna call you a socialist anyway, why not actually be one?
