"Since word broke yesterday that D.C.'s Trust for the National Mall was named the official charity of Jon Stewart's "Rally to Restore Sanity," the non-profit organization has raised nearly $5,400. While that number is climbing by hundreds of dollars per hour, the charity to which Stephen Colbert has attached his "March to Keep Fear Alive," Donors Choose, counts nearly $325,000 in donations...

...A website called DC Rally Bus is offering charter buses from cities in 35 states, including as far as Texas and Kansas (only three people so far are willing to pay $250 for a nonstop, roundtrip ride from San Antonio). But if you happen to live in the West Virginian town of Kearneysville (holla, my brothers!), then Matt's got room for you. Otherwise, you could dress up as a College Democrat — hoodie, jeans, New Balance sneakers — and join them as they ditch campaigning for the midterm elections in favor of busing to D.C. for some light political comedy..."

to see the reflecting pools cleaned up and full of crystal clean water again. I blame Reagan and the GOP. They made spending tax payer money on anything not war related a bad thing and America's backyard was on their list of things to ruin.
