Another Day With The Company YO-YO....

....Well the office green card carrying Yo-Yo spoke yet another interesting line of SPEW this morning...

....He said....People don't want any part of OBAMACARE they just don't want it....So I had to correct him...I said while at first they didn't want it the new studies have said that 75% percent of America embrace it and then I re-enforced that by saying that HEALTH CARE was the single reason that majority of Americans VOTED FOR HIM...I followed up with him and said that is what is called DEMOCRACY...

1. I'm sure he appreciates being corrected.
And, now that he sees the error of his ways will no longer tell people incorrect information. I don't blame you for trying. But, some people would rather just go on spouting their own ignorance. Somehow it seems to make them feel good.

2. Good for you. While it doesn't always change the mind...
...of that person who was so wrong, it may change the mind of a bystander. Or have some other positive impact in the long run.

It is NOT OK to let the lies stand without challenge. That only serves to perpetuate the myths they try to create.

thx,

Scuba

3. I carry on conversations everyday with right wing truck drivers
Edited on Mon Oct-11-10 04:25 AM by B Calm
on my CB radio. It's like talking to a brick wall, but what I'm hoping for is to change the mind of others. Most truck drivers are in their fifties. I like to bring up the conversation of manufacturing jobs going overseas over the past 30 years. How the republican party support it and reward those companies by giving them tax cuts. Social Security is another hot button issue. A lot of these guys are nearing retirement age and don't understand that the republicans are campaigning on raising the social retirement age to 70 so they'll be able to give their tax cuts to the companies that send our jobs overseas.
