Check out this new blog from the "American Family Association."

http://www.afa.net/Blogs/BlogPost.aspx?id=2147499184

"Everything - every single thing - that Paladino said about the homosexual lifestyle yesterday was dead on the money. What he said is so true and so evident and so obvious that the real controversy here is that there is any controversy at all.

The fact that homosexual activists will now bare their fangs, veritably dripping saliva as they go for Paladino’s carotid artery, and will do so with the full-throated blessing of the out-of-the-mainstream media, only illustrates the enormously dangerous clout these purveyors of perversity have been given in our culture.

Paladino properly shamed Cuomo for marching in New York’s gay pride parade with his two daughters, saying, “that’s not the kind of example we should be showing our children.”

:wtf:

1. When I complained about the propaganda and greed fest
On many TV shows, and even in the news. People told me if I didn't like it don't watch it.

And they put cameras in peoples houses by patriot act, and want to tell people what they should do in their bedroom, so they obviously want to know about it.

So although I agree public displays of affection should be with modesty, they did not want people to be private in their lives.

So if they don't like it, don't watch it.

Also they are going to have to explain Christian teachings if they think it is wrong for those reasons. Love is fulfilling the law.

Note trying to offend someone by your choice of how you express love, is not for the reason of love most of the time, so it turns back on itself also. And understanding sensibilities is part of the compromises in tolerance between cultures.

4. Family Values stands for anything they want it to stand for remember?
A drunk wife abusing child abusing adulterer can have family values because family values mean whatever you think it means so saith Saint Reagan.

5. Interesting thing about "family values"
A book I'm reading on Christianity in the 5th and 6th centuries had a wonderful point - that we could look askanced at the "family values" being promoted by some of the RW Christian groups today as back in the Byzantine period the idea of "Christian family values" meant having absolutely nothing to do with your family, or anybody else's for that matter, and being a hermit in the same fashion as Simon Stylites.

7. That is interesting and didn't Jesus supposedly say "leave your family"
and etc?? Not that we have any clue which of those things he really said and which were added a few hundred years later. But that particular thing, makes Jesus sound like Jim Jones!

8. from what I read in the Bible,
Jesus apparently had all kinds of family issues.

"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." (Luke 14:26)

12. Yes.
These groups....the American Family Association, Focus on the Family, Concerned Women of America...are essentially hate groups. They obscenely wrap their vicious hate in the cloak of "family values".
