My mom received a letter the other day from the Chrysler pension plan announcing...
Edited on Mon Oct-11-10 11:31 AM by SugarShack
As they move through the process of restructuring their company and have repaid the loan, they are proud to announce they are moving their benefit administration company, "Benefits Express", back to the United States from India, and begin to rehire.

If my mom did not tell me of the letter, I would never have heard! Right on the heels of the Senate voting to continue outsourcing our jobs, along with 4 dems and Leiberman, my mom received this wonderful news! I have not heard anything mentioned. Only crickets! Have you?

Let me know....if you heard that Chrysler is moving jobs back to the U.S. Because they are.

Where's the media????

3. There's a steady trickle of jobs moving back
as company after company realizes that chasing the cheapest labor in the world was false economy, leading to customer dissatisfaction and products that were simply not up to par because of lax (or nonexistent) quality control standards.

They can survive paying US labor prevailing wages. They are starting to realize they can't survive without customers willing to buy their products.

4. I hope it all comes back
Last week I had to schedule my fall furnace tune-up appointment. It went to India! Took at least ten minutes. "Could you do the 14th". No I will not be available the end of that week. It will have to be the following week. "Could you do the 15th?" Do you fucking have a clue?

Called back, pressed a different set of keys, and spoke to an American. He transferred me to the local office, where I scolded them for sending jobs like that oversees. I now have the private phone number for the local office for all subsequent scheduling. Maybe if more people spoke out it would stop.
