MSNBC new ads "Lean Forward"
I like...

http://www.mediaite.com/online/msnbc-kicks-off-new-ad-campaign-lean-forward-a-spike-lee-joint/

"We learned in August that Spike Lee would be helming MSNBC’s latest ad campaign. Now, Lee’s first two commercial spots have been posted online. The ads are slick and upbeat, implying the news network’s progressive leanings without overtly declaring a political stance..."

also... biked to Theodore Roosevelt Island National Memorial and found this...

"...a great democracy has got to be progressive..."

5. From the comments that were posted, one would think those ads were for Democracy Now!
Thom Hartmann and Stephanie Miller....

14. i agree with that!
i'm just a real cynic when it comes to the media....as in most businesses, it's all about profits, nothing else matters. used to be that the news rooms were protected from that....no longer.

3. Meh.
If they'd just put as much effort into trying to be frills-free and objective, the country would be a damn site better off. The M$M is what is so terribly wrong with this country.

4. In the same line of thought as D/rive = D/emocratics vs R/everse = R/epuke
The Dems promise is to carry us forward, while the repukes want to take us back...far, far back..to the 1800s if possible.

7.  I do too. I watch for the different historical clips. It grabs my attention.

I've seen them (I'm not sure how many) a few times today.

Shows suffragettes marching, MLK, JFK, walking on the moon, babies doing those stagger first steps, Obama in Grant Park, etc. Progress over time.

I'll take it. :)

One of them says that sometimes moving forward is the hardest thing to do - my though "no s@#t", we've seen that over the past twenty months.

10. MSNBC? Progressive?
:spray:

Okay...

Joke's on MSNBC though. "Lean forward" is also advice often given to alleviate constipation. I guess this means they will continue to churn out right wing shit...only now it will be easier for them.
