Bill Clinton Was Brilliant Today Re: The CoC
Saw a bit of him giving a stump speech. He was pounding the CoC on foreign money and asked why they wouldn't come clean. What are they so ASHAMED of, he asked the crowd.

2. I saw Bill Clinton in person in 2006.
He came to my neck-of-the-woods to campaign for our Democratic candidate for Congress. (Kirsten Gillibrand, who is now Senator from NY :) ) He was brilliant and really wowed the crowd in what is a traditionally red district. He's a charismatic speaker and the smartest man in the room... :patriot:

Biden demands Rove reveal donors

Vice President Biden mentioned Karl Rove’s name a half-dozen times at a fundraiser in Scranton, Pa., on Monday, charging that the GOP strategist is raising money from “shady sources” to attack Democrats.

“Karl Rove has his stable of billionaires, literally, and millionaires pouring tens of millions of dollars into close races,”
Biden said at the event for Rep. Chris Carney in his hometown, according to the pool. “Does it surprise you that Karl Rove and his friends – Karl Rove, the architect of the policies that drove us into this ditch – are back raising tens of millions of dollars from shady sources, shady in the sense that we don't know where the money is coming from?”

Biden told Rove to “tell us where that money is coming from,”
and he filed a similar complaint against the Chamber of Commerce, a frequent critic of the Obama administration.

“I challenge the Chamber of Commerce to tell us how much of the money they’re investing is from foreign sources,” he said. “I challenge them. If I’m wrong, I will stand corrected. But show me, show me. Folks, they’re trying to buy this election to go back to exactly what they did before. Watch what happens in the next two and a half weeks, what happens here, because Chris is in a tight race and moving ahead.”

Biden said fundraising groups that don’t release the names of their donors don’t care about “the lives of middle-class Americans.”

4. That's pretty tasteless of Bill.
The CoC needs that foreign money to give to the GOP to help them with the election. Otherwise, how does Clinton think America's adversaries will be able to buy political influence. Getting the GOP to vote against American interests to enrich foreigners is not cheap. It takes money. And without laundering organizations like the CoC, that money would not make it into GOP hands in time for the election. Then foreign businesses and wealthy individuals would have no say in the outcome.
