Because he has heard and has SEEN it for himself even. He won't tell me where he heard about this stuff... but I can't find anything online to support or debunk anything he has said.

Apparently, 'they' are trying to limit how many appliances you can buy now. We just bought a stove and we should get a microwave soon if we want it because 'they' are going to try to stop us. When I asked where he heard that he just assured me that he KNOWS.

I guess freddie mac has a patent on something that will allow someone to just make our outlets inactive because 'they' decide we don't need to use them. When I asked him if he was referring to the plans for charging more for peak usage electricity he insisted that wasn't what he was talking about. "they" want to decide what we can and can't use. Again when I asked him where he heard this he said he SAW THE PATENT at the patent office. even if he SAW a patent, i am going to bet it has nothing to do with what he is saying it does.

I can only GUESS where he is hearing this crap. I can't find anything about any of it anywhere. He said he'd send me the information. Was it in an email he got? Or is it from glen beck. uggh.

22. i'll put it to you this way.... he drives around to various stores fixing registers and stuff
which means he has a lot of time to listen to rush and glen beck. the last time he was here he recommended a book he was reading. it was a book glen beck recommended. pat didn't even graduate from high school. as far as i know he has never been a big reader in general. he has been telling his wife to stock up on canned goods. he has also been saying that prices for things are going to start going way up really soon. i wish he would stop listening and watching this crap.

33. I don't know about outlets and appliances, but I've heard about the coming inflation.
Edited on Mon Oct-11-10 08:50 PM by peacetalksforall
I can see that A Beck or a Palin has been coached to lightly mention what is coming.

It's coming from the usual group entities such as the World Bank, IMF, Federal Reserve, Wall Street, cooperating industries, foundations, lobbying firms, reverends, churches and those who force the market. We are in trouble again. Peaks and valleys - recently it was the shouts and crys that we must save the country, then we get news releases that show that the companies saved are paying back their debt - super fast 'me thinks'. The key is to protect from this by noticing what is going on and teaching others.

The strategy appears to advance the plan to continue destroying the middle class, but use parts of the idea that it is happening to us willy nilly at the same time they get the fruit and nut talkers to release it as if it is the fault of this Administration and Democrats in general.

A part of the reason is timing - the elections - their plan, if executed their way on this, gets the Republicans back in to more enabling positions of power to carry out the big plan at an accelerated pace. Another reason is to create disarray in the D Party. It's about keeping us sharing the fear and hate of terrorists, while feeing fear and hate for each other. They don't want all the spotlights on them, but spotlighing the politicians is OK because that their after they signed on. They are bringing us down another notch.

You will probably be reading about how it is done, just as we've witnessed, theorized, and watched trugh to come out about the deadly bio prepeartions in a tube, Niger yellowcake, the enormous amount of wmd's. We 'knew' and it all proved out. It's going to happen again as a next step. Then recoup and assess and adjust the plan, if necessary.

7. "SAW THE PATENT at the patent office" ? huh?
Since when is gummint policy implemented by patents? Is your brother a loon who frequently utters absolute bullshit reinforced by non-sequiturs?

When people make absolutely astoundingly ridiculously stupid assertions, they really have to back those up with a bit more than "he knows" or "he saw 'it' (what exactly) at 'the patent office'".

Beck shows device that will allow Obama to turn-off your home's electricity

Posted on Thursday, June 17, 2010 6:19:23 PM by pabianice

Beck just showed a schematic of the device (owned by Freddie Mack) that will remotely control when and how much electricity you will be allowed to use in your home. All your (new, mandated) outlets will be monitored and if Obama disapproves of your electrical use, that outlet will be shut-down remotely. This is likely to be before Congress after the November elections but before the current congress ends. All part of Crap and Tirade.

Bullsh#t....

This segment by Glenn was a joke....

To: nevergore

See my post 14 — it’s NOT a joke, some states are already trying to control your energy uses remotely, adjust your thermostat, turn on or off your airconditioning.

See links in my post 14.

18. Yeah you better get right to Walmart & buy that Cuisinart NOW!
Last night, I got an e-mail from somebody who said, "I don't know what Obama is doing, none of it makes sense to me. But, Glenn, what you said on the program tonight is that the Department of Energy now wants to stop me from having a Cuisinart and for the life of me, that doesn't make any sense to me at all. I don't know, no big deal if I can't have a Cuisinart and how does that help the country? What would Barack Obama's motivation be?"

Well, I thought of that and I realized — I apologize to you. I have maybe gotten ahead of myself. I want to answer that question.

First of all, Obama is not coming after your Cuisinart, but the Department of Energy is coming up with new mandates now that will decide what appliances will be available to Americans in the future. So, in a way, it may be your Cuisinart.

10. So Freddie Mac is going to remotely deactivate your outlets if there's nothing plugged in?
Sound like it could be a nice child-safety feature if it was built into a house, but it's not happening the way he thinks. By "saw it myself" I think he means "heard it on Coast to Coast at 4 am..."

12. I've read of this 'possibly' happening in the UK
But other than that, the only thing I can find in the InterTubes is some family trying to live by WWII standards of rationing... which included appliances.

Seems to me we are being encouraged to buy new appliances, and the more the merrier! There are all sorts of deals right now where you can get rebates from utility companies, and even get a rebate for disposing of/recycling your old appliances.

13. paranoia strikes deep
There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind

It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and they carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side

It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
You better Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
You better Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
You better Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Not to make light of how it must really concern the OP to hear her brother talk like that. I would be really upset, honestly, if my sibling were demonstrating that kind of paranoiac thinking, and I would be hoping and praying that it were all due to your diagnosis, Fox News Syndrome.

So, I guess I mean: you are funny, and yet what you say is sadly/hopefully true.

32. I say this sincerely: I hope he's just gullible
Edited on Mon Oct-11-10 08:09 PM by REP
My uncle was a paranoid schizophrenic. He was also a brilliant engineer; chances are you've used something he invented. Despite his brilliance, his mental illness gave him an affinity for whatever crackpot horseshit conspiracy that sounded the most dystopian. Paranoid schizophrenia is hard to treat, as its sufferers are sure "they" are trying to poison them with toxic substances. That's why I hope your brother is merely undereducated and easily fooled; this is a more treatable condition.

he is scaring me with his insistence. he refuses to hear anything. it must be true if glen beck says it. my husband says i am just as bad, but i don't think so. i do not rely on what one person says. i will look things up. and i get upset about things, but i feel it is important to be informed. i don't accept just some people say. i accept things like that there is a bill in congress that is an actual bill that exists. or like that bill they passed about the fake signatures on mortgages. that is real. not this bs beck is pushing.
