Kristin Gillibrand (D-NY) |

When she took Hillary Clinton's seat, she was said to be quite conservative for a Democrat.
I am unaware of the details of her voting record, but my impression is that she's been a lot better than many in the Dem caucus.
Any comments? Opinions?

1. Difference Between Representing a District Vs. A State |

She represented a conservative upstate district where she barely won. She leaned right to keep her gig. When she was elevated to statewide office I suspect Chuck Schummer took her under his wing and that her voting now reflects the majority of the state rather than the district. Also a good reason no one tried to primary her and she's holding a solid lead in the polls.
