DU ad a scam site - caution re: swipe bid
I saw the prices and thought to myself, it's too good to be true.... and it was.

But I needed to update a few computers at the office and the savings would be nice so I registered on the site. But the last step of registration says that you have to pay like $150 buck for the use of 300 bids. In other words you can bid but you pay the site for every bid you make. Shit.

So I checked into some consumer complaint sites and voila - SCAM.

Caveat Emptor everyone. http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/swipe-auctions-scam-was-swipebids-swipeauctionscom-c371264.html

2. I wouldn't buy business software from an auction site, anyway.
G-d only knows what you actually get in the box. Fine for toys and second-hand car parts.

5. I got caught by their scam........... Beware!
Fortunately, I got a refund on the money right away, because I called and complained.
I felt they were very unclear about their "Business model" but that's part of the scam.
I also called my bank and told them that any charges would be disputed.
I also called my credit card company right away and had my numbers changed.
I feel lucky, but they throw so much at you, and it was late at night.
My guard was down. DON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO YOU!!!
