HUGE applause from the crowd.

Whitman said it broke her heart, but we have to hold employers accountable.

3. I had a friendly debate with my best friend about this. She was
saying that Meg & husband received a letter from the IRS IN 2003 asking them to clarify the maid's status. My friend was arguing that the husband turned it over to the maid and told her to take care of it and then he forgot about it. I said "think about it. If you turned a letter from the IRS over to an illegal and told them to take care of it, do you REALLY expect them to take care of it - THEY'RE ILLEGAL". Ended that conversation.

5. She did take care of it! She held onto it for safekeeping.
Great job, Nikki.

4. I9 Form
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-9.pdf

"The purpose of this form is to document that each new employee (both citizen and noncitizen) hired after November 6, 1986, is authorized to work in the United States."

"All employees (citizen and noncitizen) hired after November 6, 1986, and working in the United States must complete Form I9."

6. That is NOT the SS form Meg's husband gave to Nicki
What SSA sent (and which the husband gave to the housekeeper) was titled, "Request for Employer Information"

The employer is required to complete and return the form to SSA, per the instruction: "Please complete the information on the reverse and return it to us promptly."

7. True, but does it really matter
The point is, filling out that letter is one of the things that Whitman and husband had "people" to do for them. They sure as hell couldn't be bothered to do it for themselves.

Any problem? Get one of our people to handle it.

If the housekeeper had filled out the form and lied her ass off in the process, then given it back to Whitman's husband to sign and submit, he would have done so without a second thought. Because that is how the Whitman's of the world do things. No common sense and no clue as to what is really going on in the world.

She isn't going to lose this election because she knowingly employed an illegal immigrant. She's going to lose because she is a coddled plutocrat, isolated from reality and lacking empathy.

10. I know that is not the form, but
the I9 Form is required for all employees to fill out. It requires that legal documentation proving the person is eligible to work in the US be presented to the employer.

8. Oh, SNAP!!
Someone actually said that?

Poor little Meggy-weggy--so that means she'd be first in line to "be held accountable?" Hey, Meg, how about "being accountable" for all those jobs you sent overseas? :grr:
