This new spin that the Obama administration must appeal decisions on DOMA and DADT is bullshit.

Through refusal to defend certain laws in court or through the use of signing statements, this has proven not to be the case in past administrations and the current one.

I know the truth. I know how important the issue of civil rights for GLBT Americans is to this administration. I know that the Presidents personal feelings are shaping his policy decisions on this subject.

And that is an unusual position for me, YOU don't KNOW that the Presidents personal feelings are shaping this at all. There are many possibilities, of which that is only one.

1)Personal feelings
2)Political/party concerns leading into an election
3)Holder's personal feelings
4)Holder's personal philosophy on the role of the Justice Department
5)DoD influence on the administrations policies.

There are more, but all of these are possibilities. We'll probably never know. I'm perfectly willing to admit that his personal feelings could be contributing. But the magnitude of each influencing factor will never be truly known.
